Summertime is great for enjoying the outdoors and fresh air. For campers and hikers, that often means packing a good amount of drinking water. But what if you could also pack your favorite brews? JoGo has got you covered with its new line of straws. These lightweight stainless steel straws are perfect for taking on the go and make it easy to enjoy a coffee or tea whenever you please. Keep reading for my JoGo coffee straw review.
How Does JoGo Coffee Straw Work
The JoGo coffee straw is a straw that allows you to drink unfiltered coffee or tea on the go, while camping, or even for a hiking coffee. It’s essentially a straw with a filter at the bottom. Rather than filtering your coffee before you pour it into the mug, and needing a clunky filtering machine, you can use the straw to directly filter as you drink.
What Are The Benefits of Using the JoGo Coffee Straw?
There are several benefits of using the JoGo Coffee Straw. First, it’s much more lightweight and portable than a coffee machine or French press. Second, it’s easy to use – simply pour hot water into your cup, mix in the coffee, insert the straw, and enjoy. Third, it doesn’t require any electricity or batteries, making it ideal for camping trips or backpacking trips. Finally, it’s eco-friendly and reusable.
I was really impressed with the JoGo Coffee Straw and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys coffee on the go. It’s a great way to enjoy my coffee in the morning when access to equipment isn’t possible.
Eco-Friendly – One of the best things about this product is that it is eco-friendly and reusable which helps reduce pollution.
Heat-Regulated Tip – One of my initial worries about using a straw to drink hot coffee was burning my lips. The silicone tip prevents you from drinking hot coffee and burning your mouth.
Portable – This product is perfect for people on the go because it doesn’t require any batteries or electricity to work. You can take it camping, hiking, or anywhere else you might need a quick cup of coffee or tea.
Easy To Use – I was surprised at how easy this product was to use. All you have to do is add hot water and coffee then insert the straw. No mess, no fuss.
Taste – The taste of the coffee was great, and I didn’t notice any difference from using a regular coffee maker or French press.
Teeth Friendly – This product is also great for your teeth as the straw allows the coffee or tea to bypass the teeth and prevent staining.
Ergonomically Designed – The straw is designed in a way that feels nice while drinking and allows for drinking in a natural position.
Dishwasher Safe – You can put the straw through the dishwasher too, to make it easy to wash at home.
Small & Lightweight – The JoGo Brewing Straw is small and lightweight, making it easy to take with you on the go.
Durable – The straw is built with food-grade stainless steel, so it’s durable enough to keep in your bag without the straw getting damaged when in amongst your other stuff.
Convenient – This product is very convenient as it doesn’t require any special equipment or setup. You can use it anywhere, anytime.
Who Should Use JoGo Coffee Straw?
With me being a keen hiker, this is great for when you’re on the move. You can easily wash it too and pop it right back into your backpack once you’ve finished. If you don’t like the idea of carrying a reusable filter, then this is perfect as it’s so lightweight.
I think this would be great for anyone who likes to drink coffee on the go or even if you just want an easy way to make a single cup of coffee at home without any hassle.
The straw is ideal for campers, backpackers, travelers, hikers, and for anyone who wants to reduce their environmental impact.
The Drawbacks
Honestly, there aren’t that many drawbacks to using the straw. However, there are a couple of things you need to watch out for. First of all, if you have super hot coffee it can be too hot to start sipping almost immediately through the straw. I found it was best to let the coffee or tea sit for a little to cool before I started drinking.
The only other drawback was that it takes time to get used to drinking through a straw rather than sipping directly through a mug. But other than the initial getting used to period, all else is great.
Where Can You Buy The JoGo Coffee Straw?
I got my straw from amazon for $24.95 (at the time of writing). It seems expensive for a straw, but when I looked into buying a french press it was just a fraction of the price.
You can also get this directly from the JoGo website. It’s the same price buying directly from the website but you can also get a few replacement parts such as a pack of interchangeable silicone tips for $8 and an extra filter for $15. So if you damage your straw, you can have some spare parts to hand.
There are 4 different colors you can choose from on the website too. The different colors to choose from are:
- Forest green
- Pebble gray
- Rose quartz
- Agave blue
Final Thoughts
I’m really happy with my purchase and I think the straw is well worth the money. It’s easy to use, portable, and eco-friendly which are three things that I need in my busy life. If you’re looking for a straw that does it all, then I would recommend the JoGo Brewing Straw.
Plus you can use the straw at home or while out, making it multifunctional. That’s the main reason why I ended up going with the straw. Don’t get me wrong, I like using my coffee machine when at home, but having the option for a quick coffee is awesome.
I would for sure recommend this straw to anyone, but it’s surely best for people who like the outdoors and do some sort of camping or hiking activities so you can have a backpacking coffee, as I do on the regular.
